Core Practices - The Yang Sheng Qi Gong Foundation

Rooted in traditional Chinese internal arts and supported by modern movement science, this practice forms the core of every retreat format.

It develops structural strength, joint integrity, organ vitality, breath efficiency, mental clarity, and nervous system regulation.

Through posture, intention, and visualization, you train not only muscles — but perception itself.

Standing meditation becomes a laboratory for awareness.
The body follows the mind.
Sensation refines structure.
Energy circulates naturally.

Standing Meditation (Zhan Zhuang)

An ancient internal training technology at the root of modern Qi Gong and internal martial arts. Through precise posture and stillness, you develop deep structural alignment, nervous system regulation, and whole-body strength. This practice trains a unified internal force usable for health, vitality, and martial expression. Simple in appearance, profound in effect — this is where real transformation begins.

Slow Power Movement open arms rice field Bali TaoFit retreat Qi Gong.

Slow Power Movement (Shi LI)

The natural continuation of standing practice — where internal strength begins to move. Slow, repeated movements retrain coordination, fascia elasticity, and internal connection. Considered by many practitioners as the foundational method behind authentic Tai Chi development, this practice refines strength without tension. Movement becomes efficient, powerful, and deeply integrated.

Natural Breath Training

Restore the body’s original breathing function through relaxation, awareness, and posture. This method improves oxygen efficiency, nervous system balance, and internal stability. Over time, breathing naturally becomes deeper, slower, and more efficient — supporting both recovery and performance. These changes extend beyond practice, creating a lasting foundation for health, calm, and clarity.

Your Morning Practice: Internal Power & Nervous System Reset

Your Morning Practice: Internal Power & Nervous System Reset

Each morning begins with the core internal training shared across all retreat formats.

Through standing meditation (Zhan Zhuang), slow structural movement (Shi Li), intention training and natural breath regulation, you develop alignment, internal strength and deep nervous system stability.
Advanced students may also be introduced to Tui Shou — a rare partner practice that develops sensitivity, structural integrity, and authentic internal connection.

This work trains and harmonizes both body and mind simultaneously. Posture refines structure. Intention refines perception. Breath restores internal balance.

Over time, the body learns efficiency instead of effort. Tension dissolves. Energy circulation improves naturally.

This is the foundation of the TaoFit method — building calm power, structural integrity, and lasting vitality from the inside out.

Afternoons & Evenings: Training, Recovery & Freedom

Afternoons & Evenings: Training, Recovery & Freedom

Afternoons adapt to your retreat format, your energy, and your personal goals.

Participants in the Mastery Retreat and Yin Yang Intensive engage in guided external training sessions — designed to complement and activate the internal work developed in the morning.

These sessions take place at Saya Recovery & Fitness or occasionally outdoors near the ocean, creating a powerful bridge between structured training and natural movement. You develop strength, mobility, coordination, and applied structural power in real conditions.

Training includes natural strength development, mobility work, flexibility, structural alignment, and martial applications. You learn how to generate power efficiently, refine coordination, and build a stronger, more capable and resilient body.

Whether your interest lies in martial arts, physical conditioning, or structural health, the training adapts to your level. The integration of internal and external practice creates a complete and balanced system.

Participants in the Qi Gong Immersion and Qi Gong Reset programs enjoy fully open afternoons. This time can be used for recovery, beach walks, massage, sauna, cold immersion, personal exploration, or simply deep rest.

You also have full access to Saya Recovery & Fitness from early morning to late evening — including coworking spaces, recovery facilities, quiet training areas, and premium wellness environments. Whether you choose to train, work, recover, or rest, the environment fully supports your rhythm.

You may also spend time at Morabito Beach Club, included in your retreat — offering direct ocean access, a calm beachfront pool, and a peaceful environment ideal for recovery, reading, or quiet integration.

Evenings remain intentionally spacious — allowing integration, recovery, and the simple pleasure of being in Bali.

This flexible structure allows the retreat to adapt to you — not the opposite.

Some participants push their physical limits through martial training. Others use the afternoons for recovery, ocean time, or quiet integration.

Both paths lead to the same result: a stronger body, a calmer mind, and a deeply restored nervous system.

You progress at your rhythm, with precise guidance and complete freedom outside practice hours.

What People Say About Training with Lucas

⭐ 52 five-star reviews from students and retreat participants who experienced the TaoFit approach in Bali.

Rated 5 out of 5
I undertook the 6 days Master Retreat with the aim of learning more about Qi Gong and Kung Fu. My main goal was to strengthen myself mentally and physically. Starting from scratch (not very athletic). This experience has been crucial. By combining internal work in the morning and external work in the afternoon, I was able to develop my mind and body. This adventure opened my eyes to a new world, but also to parts of myself that I had not yet brought to light. A window into Chinese culture has been opened, as well as a window into a new me. I recommend this master retreat to anyone who wants to develop personally or anyone who is curious to explore a new practice. Beginner or not. Lucas is a reflection of the practice he teaches, both energetic and calm.

Lucas is an absolute amazing teacher. The wisdom of his teachers is clearly evident in his teaching. Lucas goes above and beyond with his teaching and has been a fantastic teacher in my recovery after a left hip replacement and two hernias of recent times. I cannot speak highly of Lucas and his professional manner in which he conducts himself in all areas of his teachings

Definitely also sparking an interest in exploring Yi Quan more. Highly recommended for anyone serious about internal martial arts.

I trained with Lucas and was completely sold from the very first session. He is an excellent trainer who gives a lot of attention and is always very present during the lessons. You really feel that he is there for you and that he wants to help you. He is also a very friendly man who you can ask anything. Thanks to his guidance, I have gained a better understanding of how my body works and what I can get out of it. I used to have physical problems, but thanks to these training sessions, I feel an improvement and am learning to use my energy better. For me, this has become the foundation. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to connect more deeply with themselves and their body.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before joining your retreat.

Do I need any experience to join?

Most participants are complete beginners — around 90% join with no prior experience in Qi Gong, Yi Quan, or internal martial arts.

Each retreat begins with the true foundations: Standing Meditation (Zhan Zhuang), Slow Movement training (Shi Li), natural breath regulation, and precise structural alignment.

You receive constant personal guidance, individual corrections, and direct transmission — allowing your body and nervous system to reorganize safely and progressively.

If you are already experienced, the practice becomes significantly deeper.
If you are new, this is the ideal place to begin properly.

Can I join the retreat alone?

Absolutely. Most guests join solo.

Groups are intentionally small (maximum 5 participants), and many retreats have only one or two guests — allowing for highly personalized guidance and a truly private experience.

You will have your own private room, your own practice space, and direct daily transmission adapted to your level and needs.

At the end of the retreat, you will also receive a signed Certificate of Completion confirming your training in TaoFit Yangsheng Qi Gong and internal practice.

Many participants describe the experience as deeply personal, focused, and transformative.

What should I bring?

Bring comfortable clothes for daily practice, a notebook, and a water bottle.

All training equipment, recovery facilities, and amenities are provided.

Lunch and dinner are included daily. Breakfast remains flexible, allowing you to follow your natural rhythm and enjoy one of the many high-quality cafés within walking distance.

If you use compression gear, braces, or personal support equipment, you may bring them.

Can I join if I have an injury or health condition?

Internal training is known for its restorative effects on posture, joints, and the nervous system.

Many participants join specifically to resolve chronic tension, back pain, fatigue, or structural imbalances.

The practice is adaptive, precise, and non-aggressive — allowing safe progress regardless of age or background.

If you have a medical condition, consult your doctor first, then contact me directly on WhatsApp so we can ensure the retreat is fully safe and adapted to your situation.

What kind of results can I expect?

Most participants feel clear physical and mental changes within the first few days.

Posture improves. Breathing becomes deeper and more efficient. The nervous system stabilizes.

With continued practice, internal strength develops, chronic tension releases, and mental clarity increases naturally.

The goal is not temporary relaxation, but lasting structural transformation you can carry into daily life.

Is the training physically demanding?

The training develops real strength, structural integrity, and internal power — without unnecessary strain or force.

Everything is progressive and adapted to your level.

For Mastery and Yin Yang participants, external martial sessions improve mobility, coordination, and applied strength safely and intelligently.

Recovery and regeneration are fully integrated, allowing consistent progress without exhaustion.

What is the cancellation policy?

A $500 deposit secures your place in the retreat.

Because each retreat is limited to a very small number of participants, deposits are non-refundable.

However, your deposit can be transferred to a future retreat date if needed.

The remaining balance is paid upon arrival.

How do I book my retreat?

Click the “Secure Your Spot” button and follow the booking steps.

You may also contact me directly via WhatsApp using the green button at the bottom-right of the screen.

We can speak personally, answer your questions, and confirm which retreat format is best suited to your goals.

Why are the groups limited to only 5 participants?

This retreat is designed for depth, precision, and real transmission — not volume.

Small groups allow continuous supervision, individual corrections, and measurable structural progress.

This level of attention creates faster results, greater safety, and a significantly more profound experience.

In some cases, participants may experience nearly private training — offering an exceptional opportunity for accelerated transformation.
